Shihan Albert Andrews
6th Degree Black Belt

Shihan Albert Andrews has trained under Grand Master Professor Don Jacob for over 40 years. He is pasionate about training and teaching the Purple Dragon Don Jitsu Ryu system as taught by the Professor. He currently holds a 6th Degree Black belt in the Purple Dragon Don Jitsu Ryu System and is a former US Open World Karate Champion.

Shihan Albert also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Surveying, from the University of the West Indies in Trinidad.

He specializes in teaching all aspects of the Don Jitsu Ryu System including Standard Style, Weapons, Sparring, Self Defense and Philosphy. He loves teaching all Levels of Don Jitsu Ryu for Kids and  Adult Classes, Yoga, Karobics and Kickfit. [more...]

Sensei Alison Candia Andrews
4th Degree Black Belt

In March 2016 Sensei Alison Candia Andrews completed and was succesful in attaining her 4th Black Belt, with the title Sensei. In 2018 she was upgraded to Renshi Sensei. She has been training in Purple Dragon since 2000, where she began at the Chagaramas Branch in Trinidad, under our now departed...Sensei Matthew St Martin. She has spent 15 years circumnavigating the globe on a 40ft wooden yacht.

Her passion is training, learning and loves teaching Don Jitsu Ryu, women’s self defense, kickboxing, kata forms, and adult classes. The Bo Staff, Sai and Sword are her favorite weapons. At 56 and a World Champion, she is an inspiration for our over 50yr old professional students.

Senpai Patrick Denison
3rd Degree Black Belt

Senpai Patrick joined Purple Dragon Family in 2006 and joined our staff in 2012 after successfully graduating from high School. He attained his 1 St Degree Black Belt in 2013 and is on a Martial Arts Instrustuctor Career Path. In addition to teaching at the Purple Dragon Jupiter/ Tequesta Dojo he has also assisted at the Marsh Pointe Elementary school and at the Limestone Creek Elementary school. He spent 3 weeks training in Trinidad under Grand Master Professor Don Jacob and has competed and travelled to Cayman Islands and Trinidad to represent the USA in International Competitions. He also spent time teaching and training at the Purple Dragon Mississippi Branch in June 2015. He successfully completed his 2nd Degree Black Belt in July 2015. On July 19- 21st 2019 he earned his 3rd Degree earning 3 gold Stars in Boca Raton in Florida.

Instructor Lorne Stitsky
2nd Degree Black Belt

Dr Lorne began training with us in 2009 and has grown positively,  achieving his Purple Dragon Jet Black belt in March 2014 in Trinidad. Dr Stitsky along with his family were part of our 2010 Team USA that attended the World Karate Championships in Trinidad. He achieved his 2nd Degree Black at the #146 Black Belt Grading in Boca Raton, Florida, and in also a certified Instructor.

Dr Stitsky is a Samurai at heart and loves the way of the sword. He enjoys teaching adults and kids.

He assists with classes on a regular basis.

Michael-Christian Andrews
2nd Degree Black Belt

   After graduating South Fork High School, Michael joined the US Marine Core and served 2012-2016 completing 4 years of Service. Semper Fi. He is currently training and assisting at our Tequesta Dojo, and whever needed, motivating and inspiring our students.

He loves competing, Weapons and traveling and is the son of Shihan Albert ANdrews He earned his 2nd Degree Black Belt on July 30th 2017 with the high honor of 3 Gold Stars; and his 1st Degree Black Belt in 2007. Born on the beautiful island of Tortola, British Vigin Islands and began his training at 3yrs old at the Purple Dragon Tortola Branch. He currently teaches all levels, Bo Staff Kata, Sparring, and Breakfalls.

Michael-Christian hope one day open his own Purple Dragon Dojo to continue to serve the citizens of the USA.

Instructor Deborah Larson
1st Degree Black Belt

Team San Deborah was born and raised the daughter of an Army Col. and 

has lived here in South Florida for over ten years with her husband Erik and four sons.  Her training began in 2012 after enrolling her youngest son in the dojo.  Since then Mr and Mrs Larson  have traveled with the Purple Dragon World Team to Japan. In 2015 represented Team USA in Trinidad at the 2nd World Karate Championships.  Instructor Deborah works primarily with our kids and Juniors programs.  She has enriched her martial arts education through teaching and is working toward establishing her place within our Purple Dragon Internation Family. In Aug 21-28th 2018 she was successful in obtaining a Black Belt w/Brown Stripe. along with her husband CONGRATULATIONS to you both !!!!!

 They successfully completed their 1st degree Black Belt in July 2019. 

Zoe Andrews
Shodan 1st Dan Black Belt

Zoe wore her first karate uniform at the age of 3 and is the Daughter of Shihan Albert and Sensei Candia. She obtained her 1st Degree Black Belt in Vancouver Canada, 2018 at the age of 13. She continues to persver and not give up.
